Vladimir Abikh was born in 1987 in Ekaterinburg. He got the education in the field of contemporary art (Foundation PRO ARTE) and film directing. Five-time nominee of the Award named by Sergei Kuryokhin. He took part in the main programs of the Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art, Ural Industrial Biennale, Krasnoyarsk Biennale, the Biennale of street art «Artmosphere» and Némo Digital Art Biennale (Paris).

Vladimir Abikh works at the intersection of different media such as intervention, installation, video, photography. He often involves the viewers into active engagement with the artwork. In his works, the artist speaks on the topic of human’s place in the information space, explores the impact of virtual on the reality. His works usually have concise and ironic forms. Vladimir actively works with text and experiments with new ways of hacking urban space.
